Hitchin is a historic and busy market town located just off the A1 in
North Hertfordshire.
It has a wealth of specialist shops, cafés and restaurants as well as many
of the big name high street stores.
Hitchin is also famous for having the largest traditional open market in
the home counties which has been in the town for over 500 years.
There is also a lively night life with a good selection of restaurants, bars and pubs.
The town has excellent access to road (A1, M1, M25), rail and air connections
and is especially well located for quick and easy access to London which is
30 minutes away by by rail to the Eurostar international terminal at Kings Cross / St Pancras.
Other locations such as Cambridge and Peterborough are just 30 minutes away by train.
Airports close by are London Luton, 20 minutes away by road,
and Stansted, around 45 minutes.
